Olivier Giroud’s suspension has provided an exciting opportunity for Marko Lazetic as the Primavera striker will be part of the first team squad for tonight’s game against Cremonese, a report claims.
Lazetic was Milan’s only real addition of the January 2022 transfer window much to the surprise of many, with not much known about the teenager – who arrived from Red Star Belgrade for a few million – other than that he is a raw talent that needs some work.
There were rumours all throughout the summer that Lazetic could be loaned out to another club in Serie A to get more consistent playing time, but he decided to remain and after coming back from an injury he has five goals in six games, with three in the league and two in the UEFA Youth League.
As confirmed by MilanNews, Stefano Pioli has decided to reward Lazetic for his recent form – which includes a hat-trick in the last league games against Atalanta – as he also departed with the first Rossoneri’s first team on their journey to Cremona.
