Goal: Chelsea midfielder pushing for Milan reunion despite interest from elsewhere

By Oliver Fisher -

Tiemoue Bakayoko is pushing for a return to AC Milan despite the interest that has arrived from other clubs, according to a report.

Bakayoko has of course already played for the Rossoneri as he joined on loan for the 2018-19 season, during which he collected 42 appearances. To buy him permanently at the end of that season would have cost €35m, a figure Milan didn’t have after missing out on the top four again.

We revealed recently that Milan have held talks with the agency representing Bakyoko about the idea of a return to the club an the rumours have not gone away, with Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer’s absence for the AFCON in January forcing the management to look for a fourth midfielder.

According to Goal.com (via MilanNews), Milan are thinking of the Frenchman as a signing for the midfield and the player, for his part, continues to press to return to the Rossoneri despite the interest of other teams.
