AC Milan have a verbal agreement with Fiorentina which gives them priority over the signing of Arthur Cabral, according to a report.
Goal Brasil writes how the striker has a contract with Fiorentina until June 2026 which has a release clause of €80m but the Rossoneri have secured priority in the event he is sold. No document was signed, but a pact was made between the two presidents.
Milan president Paolo Scaroni has a good relationship with his Fiorentina counterpart Rocco Commisso and the first contacts were made in June 2022. La Viola refused the request at first, but ‘gave in to the attacks’ this January.
A verbal agreement was made whereby Milan will be consulted in the event of a formal offer from another club for Cabral, but the player does not intend to leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi in the summer.
The 25-year-old was signed by Fiorentina for €14m from Basel in January 2022, and his performances have attracted the interest of Atlético de Madrid, Newcastle and Udinese.
Cabral has made 46 appearances for Fiorentina across all competitions this season, totalling 2,417 minutes on the field. During that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided one assist.
