Arda Güler could leave Real Madrid during the summer transfer window and it is being reported that he is open to joining a Serie A club.
Güler continues to be linked with an exit because – despite the fact that he has made 30 appearances this season – the vast majority of his minutes have come as a substitute. This is perhaps not a surprise, given the wealth of attacking options that Real Madrid have.
According to the latest from German source fussball.news (via Sport), Guler is attracting interest from the likes of RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, which has become renowned as being a league where young talents can thrive.
However, the former Fenerbahce starlet has expressed a preference to join an Italian side if he is to depart the Spanish capital. The success that Kenan Yildiz has had with Juventus over the last 12-18 months is mentioned as a driving force.
The Sport report adds that Milan and Inter Milan both hold an interest in Guler and are the favourites to to sign him if Real Madrid do indeed decide to let him leave.
Real Madrid are not opposed to a permanent deal at present, but – as they have done with Brahim Diaz, Alex Jimenez and other deals – they would like a buy-back clause to maintain control.
We reported in January that Milan had opened talks with the LaLiga giants over potentially securing Güler on an initial loan deal, but in the end Joao Felix arrived.
he will end-up with Inter … to hang out with Judas over there.
Turks don’t work here, they thrive at inter
Great! They can all camp there!
Hakan Calhanoglu stats:
At Milan 172 games, 32 goals (3 from penalty), 47 assists.
At Inter 166 games, 36 goals (27 from penalty), 27 assists.
Yup, he thrived at inter, and didn’t work at Milan.
Nothing but false narrative pushed that Hakan wasn’t good at Milan.
Bring on Arda Guler!
He played a very different role with us. He’s playing as a Regista at Inter we saw what happened with Umit Davala and Fatih Terim as coach, meanwhile Emre, Davala, Buruk Okan, Calhanoglu and Hakan Sukur all did quite ok at Inter.
Bro, did you not read the post? The statistics don’t lie. What does playing in a different position have to do with it? Taken as a whole, he’s been almost identical at each club, perhaps slightly better at Milan if you look at his 20 additional assists.
None of the other players you mention aside from Davala played for both teams, and Davala made 0 appearances for Inter, and only 10 for us. Okan Buruk played all of 24 games in 3 seasons. Hakan Sukur played 24 games in 2 seasons, and only scored 2 goals as a striker. After Calhanolgu, Belozoglu is the most successful Turk at Inter.
Bottom line Calhanoglu has been very successful at both clubs, and is the most successful Turk in the history of either. Possibly the most successful Turk in the history of Serie A, because I can’t recall another who has done better. So the whole “Turks do better at Inter” is a myth. Simple research.
And for those calling him a snake, well given the stats it seems like the extra 1M he wanted was worth it. So it’s not really Calhanoglu the Snake so much as it is Elliot/Redbird the cheapos. Kessie should have been paid his money too. All they had to do was keep the team together. We could have had a midfield of Calhanoglu, Tonali and Kessie right now, backed up by Bennacer, Pobega and Bresciannini.
If he were so good then why let him left for free? At inter he play further down.. At first year at inter before inter sold brozovic, hakan score more goal than he is now..
We dont need him, he dump Milan for Madrid when we wanted him.
Just bring back Diaz instead
You won’t get the Madrid Diaz. You would get the inconsistent Milan Diaz that we wanted shipped out in the first place. Because he only plays good with better players around him.
Class act – bring him in..
It looks like this is 100% real, he’d be a fantastic addition but I hate these buyback clauses
Kasta Fekix tillbaks och gå för Guler
Reijnders, LFC, Felix, Pulisic can play in his position. We don’t need more attacking midfielders. We still need defensive midfielders who can win the ball.
I’m ok with this deal but no buy-back clause
Being written off faster than CDK. Maybe we can sell him to Atalanta…🙄🙄🙄
Whoops, this was meant for another article….
