AC Milan are seemingly in the process of finalising Emerson Royal’s departure, in a move that has happened rather quickly.
In the past 24 hours, there has been a lot of talk about Emerson’s situation, with it seeming like he was heading to Besiktas last night. However, things changed, and he seemed more likely to head back to Brazil.

This morning, reports confirmed that the Brazilian was set to return home permanently, with a €10m offer on the table from the South American giants. Now, it seems things are ready to be wrapped up shortly.
Emerson to Flamengo ‘done’
As Fabrizio Romano writes, the defender’s exit is done with the two clubs in the process of exchanging documents to finalise the deal, something which was expected, according to the journalist earlier today.
However, the figures have been clarified a little. It seems that, instead of the top end of the reported bracket, the Diavolo will instead receive €9m, which will still be an aid to the club this summer. Whilst also his wage will be removed from the club’s books.

Yes, Milan will record a loss on their books. Nevertheless, it is better than nothing, and his short period with the club can be forgotten.

Wow. That was unexpected. Best of luck to him and I do seriously mean it. I suppose that was the best we could expect.
And a permanent transfer too.
Still a baffling transfer if you ask me. In my opinion, he wasn’t as bad as people made him look but still not as good as people didn’t think he was. Did Fonseca really ask for this guy or was he just a cheap option presented to Fonseca? Selling him for this amount is tacit admission that they messed up on this transfer which also shows that coaches are not always right especially when they ask for a particular player for their system. Good luck to him anyway. I liked him in Fifa 22 🙂
It was more a panic buy if anything. And wasn’t a cheap one in the end. But he’s off the books on a PERMANENT transfer and that’s all that matters now.
agradecer a FURLANI por esto… Estúpido
To get him off the wage book, after a serious injury that has kept him out for 6 months and him being emerson royal, it’s a fantastic sale.
Pobega for 8m€ and Royal for 9m€ not the best possible deals but still , finely 2 off our outcast are out. Next, Musah, Chuk,Bennacer, and maybe also Okafor
As poor as he is there was never a lack of interest from other teams in him, both in January and this window. Easy to sell, permanent transfer too.
If it was only that easy to get rid of the other deadwood in the squad
Wonder if anyone will offer 9 mil for Bennacer.
Lets hope Adli to Sassuolo and Bennacer to Al-hilal materialise soon.
Then the players Allegri dont want have all been sold.
Okafor, Chuckwueze and Musah can still be useful as squad players.
But I wouldnt complain if they sell Musah for 25 mil and bring in Guerra for the same price…
Agree with you. Musah is hated a bit too much by the fans – yes, I agree he can’t read the game well and he tends to keep the ball for too long until he loses it.
But he was used literally everywhere on the field, apart from GK and ATT, which is guarantee for poor performances. He is also quite young and still has time to develop into a very decent player. Overall, not a bad choice for the bench for the moment. And it’s evident that his price is not dropping down too much even if he had some terrible games and limited time.
That being said, I want to be clear I am perfectly fine with selling him and him growing somewhere else. I am just saying he is the latest of martyrs for the fans 🙂
Yep, he became the scapegoat once Royal was injured.
Got plenty of potential but his versatility is being used against him a bit at Milan, always expected to plug a hole anywhere rather than being trained in a specific role. Fingers crossed Max can help him find it if he stays.
I personally would only keep Chukwueze. Not necessarily because I rate him, but because wingers are expensive and we’re already seeing massive turnover this season. On the other hand, Okafor has been a complete dud, and Musah is clearly out of his depth and we could use the money he’d bring in to get the players Allegri wants.
try suckWC + 30m for Lookman, Atalanta will get big $ direct replacement
CHUK SUCKS ! GET RID OF HIM , HE DID NOTHING AGAINST ARSENAL. OFFENSE or DEFENCE !
also AGREE MUSAH OUT !! ( brain kicks in way too SLOW !)
Consider Adli and Bennacer gone already. Their deals are in the works. Then Okafor, Chuckwueze, and Musah gone and we will be clean.
If we manage to sell them all for decent money in one transfer window that congrats to Tare.
I deeply hate Flamengo, cause here in Brazil I’m a Botafogo fan, but today I’m really in love with them… Thank you, Flamengo, sincerely 🙏❤️🙏!
Gre-No-Li a bit earlier I was about to joke and write that the deal had now been highjacked by Botafogo considering Romano pretty much had send Royal to Besiktas yesterday, good I didn’t do that then 😀
Thank God hahahaha…
😀 I wouldn’t want that to happen for a fellow AC Milan fan to go through that twice.
Thanks pal 😂
Poor Tare – came in and has to deal with cleaning up the mess this dumb management made. Royal should have never been bought, he was really bad before so not sure I understand why it was done. Seems to be Milan of Furlani and Ibra way – pick up players that failed someone else and hope they magically turn out great in Serie A. Stupid.
As for Musah, he is dreadful and nowhere near Milan level.
I wonder how much of Tare’s headspace is taken up with all these exits. He inherited some large issues:
– Fix the midfield for real this time
– Replace both FB starters, find some squad depth here
– Sell 7 players (get to 23) – Theo, Pobega, Emerson, – Columbo, Bennacer, Adli
– Settle Camarda & Liberali
I’m not thrilled with the youth situation, but he seems to be hustling on the exits and there is material progress on the other areas.
I cannot image we get all this done in one window, but it seems hopeful we are settled back in our top 3 status by this time next year with an eye towards winning our second star and competing in UCL.
Glad that social experiment is over. Somebody’s 5mil mistake and capital loss.
Genuinely wish him the best of luck and wouldn’t surprise me to see him do well in that environment. Didn’t work out here but he’s been a pro despite being a complete scapegoat last year.
Clearly not his finest moment at Milan and far from the talent Milan needs, but 1000000x times better than the fiasco called Calabria… there is a reason why nobody wants that dead man walking: he is one of the worst terzinos at the right in a Milan jersey. Maybe even worse than the Mesbah or Constants of the world…. Emerson has offers and Calabria IS FREE…. let that sink in
Maldini’s Heir has entered the chat…
I wish you all the best black little kitty and it’s not your fault that wanted to come to Milan…… I just want Ibra to pay the capital loss because I’m worried what Furlani might do when he sees a capital loss
Ac Milan management buys a trash player for
He is the worst signing last season but still it is strange he have club that want to buy him permanent in january and now. Look at the other like origi, bennacer, okafor, chukwu. No club want to buy them permanent ( only loan then return them back to ACM ) . Emerson agent look like very good to find new club for his client
there is no loss
offloadind him worth everypenny
