The return to form of Theo Hernandez has been one of the major factors in AC Milan building a run of form after such a tough start to 2023, a report claims.
As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), the Frenchman was one of the players that fans were extremely disappointed by in recent weeks.
Given his quality is known, it was hard to explain why his impact on the team was so limited in 2023 until the change in formation to a back three. Hernandez is now playing further up the pitch and has got his confidence back.
He has begun to bring the best out of Rafael Leao again which is massive for the team. Hernandez’s shot opened the scoring in the win over Atalanta recently as he hit a half-volley from the edge of the box that struck the post and then Juan Musso’s back before going in.
