AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made the claim that the standard of football in France has got worse since he left Paris Saint-Germain.
It was back in 2012 that Ibrahimović left Milan and joined PSG and he made an instant impact in the French capital, leading them to their first Ligue 1 title in 19 years and becoming the leading man in a team that began dominating French football.

Zlatan was the top scorer in Ligue 1 for three seasons and became PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer at the time, but he then joined Manchester United on a free transfer before moving to LA Galaxy in 2018 and eventually reoining Milan in 2020.
Ibrahimovic spoke to Canal Plus who leaked a snippet ahead of the full interview which will be revealed, and the Swede was asked for his thoughts on the current state of Ligue 1 with his comments relayed by PianetaMilan.
“Since I left France, the whole level has dropped. There is nothing to talk about. France needs me, I don’t need France. Even if there are players of Mbappé, Neymar and Messi’s level it doesn’t help. That’s because they don’t have God,” he said.
The only thing God shares with Ibra is that he probably should have retired a while ago as well.
