GdS: Chances of Ibrahimovic starting against Inter fading but Giroud is ready to go

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s chances of being a starter in the derby are decreasing by the day because he still cannot get rid of his Achilles tendon problem, a report claims.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports this morning, the inflammation of his tendon persists and in order for Ibrahimovic to get the green light to return to training with the rest of the squad, it must completely disappear so no risks are being taken.

Two days before the crucial game against Inter, the Swede is still struggling with therapy and he continues to work in the gym because there is still present. It cannot be excluded that he does return to group training today, but until he does that then the idea of him starting is fading very quickly.

At Milanello everyone hopes that Zlatan will force a surprise, but in the meantime Olivier Giroud is getting ready to be called upon and the Frenchman has a great desire to play his first Milan derby, finding himself in great condition.
