MN: Ibrahimovic to meet Milan management soon over renewal – the current plan

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his return to action during AC Milan’s 1-0 win over Napoli on Sunday night, and there is an idea regarding his future beyond the end of the season.

MilanNews report how Ibrahimovic made his comeback after 43 days of absence at the Stadio Diego Armanda Maradona over the weekend and after having been on the pitch for only five minutes, the Swede will now aim to increase his playing time against Empoli on Saturday night to get back to being 100%.

Of course it goes without saying that he is an extra resource for the attacking department from a technical point of view, but even more so from a mentality point of view, because the leadership and experience he provides could be crucial.

In a few days Ibrahimovic will meet with the management at Casa Milan to discuss the extension of his deal by another year, with the current thoughts been a deal worth €2.5-3m net for one year fixed plus bonuses that will depend on appearances and objectives.

The 40-year-old is thinking of extending his career by another year, and Milan always has an open door for him because they appreciate everything he has done for the club.
