GdS: Ibrahimovic back at Milanello to continue recovery – the target for his return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is no doubt looking forward to the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was at Milanello yesterday.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about Ibrahimovic, who went on a trip to Miami to continue his recovery process and returned to Milanello yesterday.

Zlatan attended Milan-Roma at San Siro on Sunday evening and yesterday he continued his post-operative recovery program for his left knee at the training complex. The Swedish centre-forward’s goal is to be available for the game on 14 February against Spurs.

That match is the first leg of the round of 16 of the 2022-23 Champions League, a competition that will see Ibrahimovic go on the hunt for new records. If he were to score a goal against the Premier League side, he would become the oldest scorer in the history of the competition, but for now the focus is just on being back to near 100%.
