GdS: Ibrahimovic could remain at Milan even if he retires – the options

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future as a player is up in the air, but he could remain at AC Milan regardless of his decision according to a report.

Ibrahimovic’s contract with Milan will expire on June 30th and he has not had the easiest of seasons from a physical point of view with various annoying injuries proving that even he cannot escape age and the passage of time.

This has led to speculation that the 40-year-old might well decide to call time on his playing career once the current season ends, hoping to do so by hoisting a trophy with his favourite club, be that the Scudetto or Coppa Italia.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that if the Swede were to opt to retire, he could still continue his time with the Rossoneri in another role. For example, he could become ambassador of the club or could take up a role in Stefano Pioli’s coaching staff.
