GdS: Ibrahimovic takes a step forward in his recovery and hopes to return vs. Napoli

By Oliver Fisher -

After over a month out due to injury, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return is finally drawing closer and the striker could be back for the crucial game next weekend, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how the Swede is feeling better and yesterday he did a part of training with the rest of the squad, but because of the length of his absence he will also be forced to miss the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg scheduled for tomorrow night at San Siro against Inter.

Nonetheless, the 40-year-old is aiming to return for Sunday’s league match at Napoli, but his condition will be evaluated during this week because nobody wants to take risks at Milanello in case the problem worsens.

Milan have dropped points against two of the bottom four sides in Serie A in their last two games, perhaps proving they really need some leadership out there on the field as key players continue to struggle.
