There have been plenty of cases where AC Milan have gone back on previous decisions and this summer could see that happen again.
The case of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most confusing things in recent years, at least where Milan are concerned. He arrived with a mysterious role and since then, he has not become much more placed within a specific role.

Indeed, the Swede almost hovers above every position and there is no limits to what he can and can’t do. Officially, he is an advisor. However, his actions would lead you to believe he is much more than that…
Ibrahimovic could lose importance
Before the major sackings made by RedBird, it appeared that he could be withdrawn from his position of power. However, he has seemed to be a dominant factor in the hiring process of a new manager and sporting director.
Now, though, Il Giornale (via MilanNews) reports that things could change. In their report, it is stated that he ‘risks being left out of the running’, with the club making a reversal to the power rankings.
If Oliver Glasner and Ralf Rangnick were to arrive, it would confirm that his power is maybe now minimal, considering his own wishes. Given the demands of the German, too, for a no-interference position, Ibrahimovic’s withdrawal from power could be confirmed.
It could be a good thing, but the persistent reversals benefit no one.
Please keep him away from the squad!
I concur. Keeping this toxic know-it-all away from the team is as important, as hiring a coach. I am skeptical, though. He has invested in RedBird and is therefore a Cardinale boy. Remember the rumors that he was going to be fired along with Furlani and that Cardinale has chosen Allegri’s side? Yeah, that.
And here’s the questions that need to be answered before judging Zlatan… What are his merits in his role? What has he achieved? Why exactly should he stay? Is he better than Rangnick? I can’t think of a single reason why Zlatan should stay and keep fckng things up.
There is one way he can help AC Milan. And that is going to Inter.
Ibra has done very well for Milan as a player. He is unique both in technique and character. He can can still contribute but in clearly defined role, for example, president or vice-precident, and leave the technical department to a Technical Director. This way he does not need to be involve in technical matters directly.
Zlatan is a sick man. He thinks that he is God! Here in Sweden there are many who lough at him, but almost none tells him that he is sick, all are afraid of him. GET HIM OUT AS SOON AS PÅSSIBLE!
Even the media hype his role. An advisor cannot select he can only offer advice. What ibra is doing is beyond ‘advising’. He is basically interfering now, to shift issues in his own personal favor not for the club. I don’t think he is suited to any managerial role. He is best left to be a content creator to hype cardinale and give him some visibility and credibility. Cardinale wants to be accepted by association, not by merit
Zlatan has plenty of other stuff going on – just look howmany commercials he has done for the world cup. Mostly promoting himself.
Ibra has done well as a player for Milan and no doubt about that but he had failed in that managerial role and I don’t blame him much because we have hardly employed competent people to man Milan in the absence of Maldini and Massara. Until then even if we employ Ibra as ball boy, he will still interfere with other incompetent people roles
We do not really know what Zlatan does or doesn’t. That’s a problem for sure in the rossoneri community but I am sure that Zlatan wants to build a great AC Milan side. He is a football man through and through. Zlatan is also smart and a quick learner. Maybe he learned something important by following the last administration. We all know it is a year zero moment now. I for one hope for the best to my beloved club.
