Ibrahimovic’s appearance at Sanremo confirmed by host: “Get ready, I’m on my way”

There were some question marks about whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic would appear at the Sanremo Festival, but those have now been dispelled.

After the chaos that came following the altercation between Ibrahimovic and Lukaku in the Coppa Italia derby, there was speculation that the Swede’s guest appearance would be cancelled because of the alleged accusations of racism against him.

The incident went before the Federal Prosecutor to determine exactly what was said and it appears there is nothing founded in the allegations. Amadeus himself – the host of the Festival – took the chance to confirm that Ibra will be present.

Speaking at a press conference (via MilanLive), he said: “Ibra is a great champion and as an Interista I congratulate Milan on the path he is taking. Ibra also gave me his shirt. I have a brother who supports Milan who would like it but it is certain that I will not give it to him.

“What will Ibrahimovic do? He is a character to be discovered, he is number one in many areas. You will find out as soon as the festival starts.”

A message from Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived during the press conference, during which the Swede said: “Get ready, I’m on my way. Let’s make another record.”

The report adds how it is clear that the 39-year-old is referring to the ratings that the program will record, which should be higher than any others.
