There has been a mixed reaction among some members of the AC Milan fanbase to reports claiming Ralf Rangnick is set to join in the summer.
A shock report from German outlet Bild came out on Monday afternoon claiming the Red Bull Head of International relations and former RB Leipzig boss is set to join the Rossoneri once the season is over.
They state that the 61-year-old is in advanced talks to become manager and sporting director at Milan, which would be an unprecedented role at the club.
It is not the first time such speculation has emerged, though. Bild have previously claimed that Milan have a concrete interest in bring Rangnick to the San Siro, but the former Schalke boss then did an interview in January and denied having held talks.
However, he also hinted that it is a club he would be interested in joining as he has admired them since the 1980s.
Below is the reaction of some fans to the news…

He’s certainly an actual coach. Not like these jokers we have had to deal with (barring Gattuso who did a half decent job).

This signals the end for Gazidis for sure imo. This is a really really good move by Milan.
Going to be an interesting summer.

Ragnick said years ago that he thought he would work best if he had both roles, I didn’t think any big club would give him such an opportunity but hats off to Milan for trying. https://t.co/BWXcTnAXQZ
