Henrikh Mkhitaryan has admitted that he doesn’t know if he will stay at Roma with AC Milan preparing an offer, according to a report.
Roma won the Derby della Capitale 2-0 against Lazio last night, eliminating them from the race for the next Champions League and among the protagonists was Mkhitaryan, who has had a fantastic season.
The 32-year-old former Arsenal and Manchester United has scored 12 league goals in the current campaign, making him the top scorer for the season, but he admitted after the game: “I’m in love with Rome, but I don’t know if I’ll stay. I’ll take a few days to decide.”
According to Il Tempo (via MilanLive), there is no shortage of suitors for the Armenian and Milan see him as a low-cost solution given he would be a free transfer and could replace Hakan Calhanoglu who has still not renewed his contract.
Mkhitaryan is a real option, proposed by his agent Mino Raiola who is probing the market to find a new club, and there is also talk of an offer from Milan: the Rossoneri would table €4-4.5m net per season to the former Arsenal man until 2024.
Competition from Inter could arrive as Antonio Conte admires the player and could include him as a resource for the attack in view of next season.
