The impressive numbers of AC Milan’s support at San Siro in 2022-23

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan closed the 2022-23 season in front of over 70,000 fans last night with a win against Hellas Verona, continuing a trend of exceptional support.

The Milan fans were always present in numbers both for home and away games, but it is at San Siro where the data is particularly impressive, with 26 matches played at home by the Rossoneri across Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.

In those 26 games a total of 1,861,782 fans passed through the turnstiles with an average of 71,607 spectators per game, a very high number which testifies how the supporters have really become the 12th man for the team even during difficult periods.

They were rewarded with a win last night Olivier Giroud got the opener from the penalty spot before a late brace from Rafael Leao sealed a victory to finish the campaign. Then the night belonged to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his emotional farewell to football.
