AC Milan are not the only ones hoping for a Scudetto turnaround, and the game against Napoli could be decisive for them and Inter.

In recent weeks, a lot has been said about the inconsistency of Milan. However, they are not the only side to have struggled with these issues. Indeed, Inter have not been flawless, and their pace is slower than both the Rossoneri and Napoli. z

Indeed, with eight points in their last five, they are bettered by Massimiliano Allegri’s outfit (nine in five) and Antonio Conte’s side, who have won their last four in a row.

So, the battle for the Scudetto is heating up.

Belief growing

As Calciomercato.com writes, it is impossible not to see that Inter have the advantage. To their city rivals, there is a six-point gap, whilst Napoli sit seven points away. However, they are almost certainly slowing down, and belief in both rival camps is growing.

It goes further, with the Nerazzurri seemingly unable to keep points in winning positions – of the top seven, they have dropped the most points, as DAZN reported. So, the ambitions of the chasing outfits are not dying.

Inter play first when the teams return from the international break, and they could restore a big lead, or invite further pressure on Monday’s showdown between Allegri and Conte. Perhaps it could be the most important weekend of the season.

Ultimately, both Italian coaches would settle for a Champions League spot. However, they have been in the game long enough to know that they may still be able to sneak a push for the Scudetto.
