Gds: Inter ask for meeting with Milan over stadium as Scaroni’s words cause alarm

Inter have asked for a meeting with AC Milan to discuss the new stadium project having been alarmed by the words of Paolo Scaroni, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), the words of Milan president Paolo Scaroni – who in recent days spoke of the possibility of building a stadium solely and exclusively for Milan – caused discussion among the Nerazzurri leadership.

That is because Inter would like to maintain the current sharing arrangement and therefore would like to build a new facility together with Milan, so they have asked for a meeting with the new Rossoneri owner with Gerry Cardinale.

Cardinale is in Italy for the Champions League last 16 first leg against Spurs and the Nerazzurri want to speak with him at some point in the next few days to clarify the stances on the new stadium. However, no news on the subject filtered through from Casa Milan.

      1. Building stadiums or infrastucture like training grounds doesnt affect FFP so its not necessarily true what you are saying.

  1. Financially Ac Milan is in a better place than Inter, so it should not allow Inter saddle itself to Milan, Ac Milan has the means to build a stadium on their own, it’s better for legacy, prestige and the financial aspect…

  2. A joint venture is definitely the way forward, sharing a huge cost with very little downsides. On their won Milan would make a stupidly small stadium I expect and then regret it in a few years time

    1. I have no problem, with us having a small stadium, as long as it belongs to us.. Not City council! And we are being, able to fill our stadium.. Chelsea and Juventus also has small stadium. But they generate, a lot of money, from Stadium.. It doesn’t matter, if it’s a small or big stadium, as long as it’s World Class!
