GdS: Inter and Milan continue to battle for free transfer of French forward

By Euan Burns -

Inter and AC Milan will continue battling beyond the end of the Derby della Madonnina as they both seek to sign french forward Marcus Thuram on a free transfer, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), both Milan sides are in the picture along with many others to be Thuram’s new club.

It is now clear that he will be leaving Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer on a free transfer as his contract is coming to an end.

Barcelona, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing the French forward who is the son of former Juventus man Lillian Thuram.

All three of those teams would likely be able to outbid the Milan sides in terms of wages, but they may not be able to offer the same level of importance to the squad that the Nerazzurri or the Rossoneri can.

  1. If you really want him then agree a pre-contract with him just like with Sportielo. It’s very simple although I don’t think he’ll be ready to play for Milan during the first two seasons in Italy so it’s better Inter get him and after two seasons we can pay them €35m for a winger that’s ready to play afterall Thiaw didn’t look ready to me yesterday and I wonder why he was awarded the MOTM. No sarcasm unintended!!

      1. What’s the point of ditching players who have waited to be ready just to get one who has to wait to be ready is the whole point in my comment. 🥲
