Interesting graphic shows statistical comparison between Tomori, Kjaer and Romagnoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan welcomed their latest recruit on Friday as Fikayo Tomori joined on a loan with option to buy from Chelsea.

His debut came in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia clash against Inter as he replaced the injured Simon Kjaer in the first half, with his performance receiving largely positive responses from the media and Milan fans.

The excellent @ViziFootball have done some fantastic work by statistically comparing Tomori to his potential new partners Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli, looking at a number of different factors.

The metrics used are turnovers, interceptions, clearances, pressures, long balls, final third success, pass completion rate, dribbles aerial duels won (as a number and a percentage), dribblers tackles percentage and fouls committed.

When compared with Romagnoli, Tomori comes off better in every category except percentage of aerial duels won, turnovers and pass completion rate.

Compared to Kjaer, Tomori is superior in everything but turnovers, pressures and aerial duels won.
