Italian journalist says De Ketelaere has the ‘perfect identikit’ for Milan

By Euan Burns -

Italian journalist Alessandro Sugoni has said that Charles De Ketelaere has the ‘perfect identikit’ for AC Milan, a report claims.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport 24 (via Milan News), Sugoni explained why Milan are so serious about signing the young midfielder from Club Brugge this summer.

He started by explaining what Milan want to get out of the transfer market and how they have already made an approach for De Ketelaere.

“Milan are looking for imagination and the right men to trigger Origi, Giroud and then, when he is there, Ibrahimovic,” the reporter said.

“Yesterday the first official offer was presented to Brugge for De Ketelaere. An offer of €20 million plus bonuses that is not enough for the Belgian team, who demand much more.”

Sugoni then went on to add that the bid made by Milan is not close to what Club Brugge require for the player and it is not yet known if the player is going to start pushing his club to accept a bid from Milan or if he will patiently wait to see what happens.

“It will have to be seen if the two parties will manage to get closer, it will also have to be understood what the player will want to do, if he will push for the transfer or wait,” he said.

“There is also competition from the Premier League, such as Leeds United: we will see if this will push Milan to raise their offer.”

De Ketelaere is one of the first names that Milan have made definitive moves towards signing this summer as they feel he perfectly fits what they need in that part of the pitch.

“Certainly De Ketelaere was the first name in this market that Milan worked on, he is the perfect identikit for the Rossoneri: young, class of 2001, an excellent player that bodes well for a great future,” Sugoni said.
