Jacobelli states Milan ‘rollercoaster’ doesn’t allow ‘Scudetto ambitions’

This season has already been rollercoaster-like, and AC Milan are paying the price for it. Today, Xavier Jacobelli looked at the season as it has gone so far.

Milan and Paulo Fonseca are already in a dangerous position. Once again, confidence in the Portuguese head coach is falling, and the Scudetto is effectively out of their hands. A worrying position to be situated in nine games into the season.

Nevertheless, Fonseca will hope to save himself once again, starting with a win against Monza this weekend, before a huge test against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday. Aside from the table, fears are also growing about the position of Rafael Leao – who is heading towards another game among the substitues bench.

Jacobelli spoke to TMW radio earlier today to look at the Rossoneri’s current situations, focusing on the issues of continuity, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.

“It doesn’t find it also because when you leave behind troubled days and record absences like those of Gabbia, Theo and Reijnders, plus you also miss Pulisic it is complicated. Then there is the question of Leao, everyone expects that extra bit of play that he has lacked at the start of the season.

“Milan went into the ring with one hand tied while facing an opponent in extraordinary condition. This rollercoaster ride by Milan does not allow the Rossoneri to cultivate Scudetto ambitions.”

  1. This team wasn’t build to win titles. With quantity players you need a good coach to win games and a lot of luck.
There is Conte and Thuram regrets. The two that could have been in Milan. Thuram showed to be a dangerous striker.
There is also regret in letting Kalulu and Adli go. The same thing can be said on Tonali sale.
If you want to win titles you need to keep the best player and buy player to make the team strong. You can’t say that the management is doing that.

  2. The team was finalized in the last week of the window…what else did anyone expect? You can kiss any ambition goodbye. 13 million spent to replace Ibra and Giroud from our last scudetto is an insult to the intelligence of Milan Fans. Jovic was never going to be an answer. Okafor hasn’t been a starter in Italy. Our midfield is incomplete, we weakened our defense…then people thought we’d be able to go toe to toe with Napoli, Juve and Inter that strengthened?

You would be delusional to think it was possible.

  3. Ambition is to get to CL in any possible way. That is the only goal on 1st of November. A nuclear device needs to hit Naples, Torino and blue half of Milan for AC Milan to even get close to 1st spot.
