Watch: Joao Felix lands in Italy ahead of completing AC Milan switch from Chelsea

Joao Felix has officially touched down in Italy ahead of completing a deadline day loan switch to AC Milan from Chelsea.

It was confirmed earlier this afternoon that Milan had reached an agreement with Chelsea over the signing of Felix on a dry loan.

The Rossoneri are expected to cover the full salary of the Portuguese attacker and the full package will cost in excess of €5m over the six-month period.

While waiting for the official announcement, Felix has just landed in Italy. It is possible that he could feature against Roma on Wednesday night in the Coppa Italia.

    1. Are you crazy? Throwing this kind of money on a player that we dont know if we can utilize is a big risk. We dont know what departures we will have next summer, and losing half our budget on an unproven player creates a big risk of not being able to put together a good team for next season. For me this is a great deal, without risk, and could save our season. Oppurtunistic not gambling. And 30 would NEVER be enough anyway.

      1. Yeah he’s gifted but inconsistent and doesn’t really have a proper position in modern football… almost no modern team plays with a Zidane/Baggio type free role

We’re his 5th team in just over 2 years (benfica, atletico, barca, chelsea, now Milan) so he hasn’t managed to establish himself in any league or formation.

I really hope conceicao can integrate him well either at CAM or RWF as he’s not physical enough for no.9 (when Gimenez is rested).

Totally agree we only loan him, and if he somehow ends up being good I’m sure we can negotiate in summer w chelsea who might need to offer a reasonable price as they could be under pressure from PSR /FFP
