Journalist believes Gasperini will go all-out to beat Milan: “He has always been a Juventus fan”

By Oliver Fisher -

A journalist has claimed that Gian Piero Gasperini will do everything to help his boyhood club and former team Juventus on Sunday night.

After wasting their ‘match point’ against Leonardo Semplici’s Cagliari side last night at San Siro, another one is in hand against Gian Piero Gasperini’s men, who will play in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday night.

The Rossoneri know that with a win in Bergamo they would secure not only a top four spot but also second place, while they would also get into the Champions League if either of Napoli and/or Juventus fail to better their result.

Journalist Maurizio Pistocchi spoke to Radio Marte about the upcoming games this weekend and stressed his belief that Milan are now the most likely team to miss out after Sunday’s huge wasted opportunity.

“With one day to go, who is most likely to remain out of the Champions League? At this point, Milan. Napoli play at home and, also without a crowd, they are used to doing well on their own ground. Hellas Verona are doing well enough and certainly won’t give up, but they won’t even make the match of their life,” he said (via MilanNews).

“Different for Milan, who go to Bergamo. Atalanta, if should lose, he would risk going to the fourth pot in the Champions League and, therefore, meeting all the big names. In short, they are forced to play a great game. Gian Piero Gasperini comes from the Juventus youth sector, he has always been a Juventus fan inside and will do all to help his former club, the Agnelli club.

“Milan pays not only for their own faults, but it must be said that they ended badly this season, with a second round definitely not up to the good they showed in the first part of the Italian Serie A season.”

  1. Gasperini tiene esa sonrisa sarcástica cuando le ha ganado al Milán, también creo que hará todo lo posible por ayudar a la Juventus, más allá de la posición en la tabla…
