Journalist claims Chelsea outcast Ziyech could join Milan on two conditions

By Isak Möller -

Hakim Ziyech was expected to leave Chelsea in January and although an agreement was reached with Paris Saint-Germain, the move never materialised before the deadline. AC Milan, therefore, remain interested.

Ziyech did well with Morocco at the World Cup and thus attracted the interest of several clubs in Europe. An agreement was reached between Chelsea and PSG for a loan on deadline day but they failed to hand in the papers in time.

The winger will be looking to move in the summer, though, and Milan are still interested in his services. As per Niccolo Ceccarini for TMW, if Ante Rebic were to leave the Rssoneri this summer, then the management could turn to Ziyech.

That’s not the only condition, however, as Ziyech also needs to lower his salary which currently stands at €6m per year. This is simply too much for Milan and a sacrifice would be needed from the player.

It remains to be seen what Paolo Maldini will do as he also has Nicolo Zaniolo on his wish list.

  1. Stop it. Noone wants this guy, he hasn’t been positively impactful on a team since Ajax. Even his “stellar World Cup” people like to talk about was overrated, a few moments of class amongst many many more of selfish, aimless dribbling and misplaced passes. Move along.
