Journalist Luca Marchetti has claimed that Atletico Madrid would get more money by selling Angel Correa to Monaco rather than Milan.
Speculation continues to rumble that Correa will complete a move to the Rossoneri soon amid growing optimism in the Milan camp that a deal for the Argentine will be concluded.
Atletico reportedly want Rodrigo Moreno to replace Correa, with a €60m deal close, while Valencia in turn are apparently interest in Andre Silva to replace the former.
Updates on the situation arrived from Gianluca Di Marzio on Thursday amid reports that the saga is close to completion.
Now, Marchetti has offered his thoughts on what is becoming an increasingly completely potential triple deal.
He told TMW (via MilanNews.it): “Milan continue to work on Correa, but they also continue to wait.
“The boy’s agent, in these hours, is in Madrid and will talk to Atletico to confirm his position: no interest in a move to Monaco, yes Milan.
“Atletico, however, would receive more by selling the player to the French club, so they are not very inclined to please him.
“The sale of Correa will serve Atletico (for reasons of space in attack, of numbers, not due to financial balance) to close definitively the deal with Valencia for Rodrigo.
“Then Valencia could look to Italy, maybe even at Milan, to replace Rodrigo: André Silva. And the circle could be closed. But this last step [Silva] has not yet become a negotiation.”
