Journalist claims €25m asking price has been set by Lille as Milan eye playmaker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan consider Yusuf Yazici of Lille as a genuine option to replace Hakan Calhanoglu with an asking price set, according to one journalist.

Calciomercato.com first reported Milan’s interest in Yazici as the management look for a playmaker who can fill the void left by his compatriot Calhanoglu, who has decided to jin city rivals Inter on a free transfer from July 1.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) then confirmed that Milan are evaluating several profiles that could fit into Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 system and among the players that have ended up on the wish list is Yazici.

According to the latest from Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Milan do have Yazici on their list of targets and have discovered that Lille want €25m to sell the 24-year-old after a season in which they won the league.

Yazici had a disappointing European Championship campaign amassing 3 appearances, 117 minutes, zero goals and zero assists. However, Milan fans will remember him for his hat-trick in the 3-0 win for Les Dogues at San Siro last season, with 7 goals in 8 appearances in the Europa League overall for Yazici.
