Ex-Juve director claims €35m man has practically already signed for Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Former Juventus and Napoli director Luciano Moggi has claimed that AC Milan have basically already completed the signing of Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese.

The Rossoneri have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentine over the last few months, but he officially signed a new deal with the Friulians until June 2024 earlier in the week.

Calciomercato.com though claimed that Udinese were simply sending a message to interested clubs – which also includes Inter, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina – that a discount will not be offered on his €35m asking price.

The same outlet even reported in September Milan will make an attempt to sign De Paul in January, and that Paolo Maldini has already told his agent he is a huge fan.

They also added that the player is convinced that he is ready to try a new experience next summer at the latest, and now Luciano Moggi has offered an update to 7Gold (via MilanNews.it).

“De Paul is coming. He almost arrived at the beginning of the season, then for a thousand reasons he didn’t go through.

“The situation has now changed and he’ll almost surely go to Milan, and he’s the player Milan need.”
