Journalist claims Milan are better placed financially than Juve to land Vlahovic: “How will they do it?”

By Oliver Fisher -

Journalist Franco Ordine has suggested that Juventus will struggle to sign Dusan Vlahovic which could clear the path for AC Milan if they want him.

Vlahovic is dominating the headlines at the moment after it was announced earlier today that he will not renew his contract with Fiorentina, with Rocco Commisso delivering the news at an interesting point of the season.

A number of sources have since suggested that Vlahovic could be the right opportunity for Milan to secure their centre-forward of the future, and the Rossoneri are surely likely among the suitors for the 21-year-old after he continued his excellent form. He has netted 25 goals in Serie A from the start of last season, is young, physical and has ample room for growth.

Speaking on his Twitter profile, Ordine spole about Vlahovic’s situation as follows: “Vlahovic refused Comisso’s offer and is preparing to be sold in the next transfer market. Some suggest him for Milan for the post-Ibra, others do the same for Juve. But Juve, who have already burdened their next budgets with the purchases of Chiesa and Locatelli, how will they do it?”

  1. Allow me to be a bit sceptical here.
Is he really a 50M+ player (or whichever the figure is)?? I watched the match against Inter and he didnt look like a player of that calibre. Certainly not yet; but definitely with potentials. It is just a matter how justified the asking price is…
Plus scoring goals might be kind of an inflated thing as he takes all the penalties (yes, he is good at netting them)
This season might be an opportunity to justify this as Fiorentina is overall a good team plus better than last year.

    1. I don’t think he’s worth that much. I saw the match against Napoli this past week and I wasn’t impressed. Well, maybe he had an off day.

    1. LOL. No offense pal but are you crazy lol. You wouldn’t pay 15M for Vlahovic??? LOL. Hope your joking. He is exactly the player we need to lead the line. Him and Leao would be lethal. Add in Faivre for RW and we are devastating. I pray we sign him. 50M is totally worth it for a you g 21 yr old striker of his caliber

  2. The fact that he is young and hungry for excellence is enough for me. The Milan coaches and trainers will bring out the best in him.

Go ahead Paolo, sign the Kid

  3. Maybe a paid €5 million loan for the remainder of the season and an option to buy at €35 million? The only problem I see is la viola look like they’ll be competing for European places. They my be reluctant to sell…

  4. We cannot afford him as well.We cannot buy players that exceed 30M Euros. That hurts our long term plans.
I think we should get Belotti on a free next summer…Ibra will retire…Between Giroud, Pellegri,Belotti and Colombo..we should be fine.Do not overspend on anyone.

    1. Micah, we can’t buy them YET. People, sqaud growth is not an overnight thing. The more seasons we qualify for the CL the more money the club will earn, which in turn will lead to better contracts (talent retention) and higher transfer budgets (talent acquisition), plus the young players we already have will continue to mature and get even better (talent deevelopment). If the club plays its cards correctly we’ll be hitting stride in two or three seasons, which to me means we’ll be one of the pre-season scudetto favorites and targeting a CL quarter final appearance. From there it will be a matter of managing the wage budget.

  5. if we want to be the ‘Devil’ here, we can just use Raiola’s tactic. Offer them HUGE signing bonus when they out of contract. we can get both vlahovic and belotti 🙂
