Agent Jorge Mendes is working hard to create the conditions that would tempt AC Milan to close a deal for James Rodriguez, according to a journalist.
Brahim Diaz re-joined the Rossoneri on a two-year loan from Real Madrid, but now Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara must take another player in that role to replace Hakan Calhanoglu who chose to join rivals Inter on a free transfer.
According to Alessandro Jacobone on Twitter, there is an acceleration underway from Mendes who is willing to try and create the conditions under which Milan would consider an investment in his client James Rodriguez to be viable.
He is out of project at Everton after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, and the Colombia international is open to a reduction in his salary to join Milan, with the Growth Decree tax relief scheme also applicable to make it sustainable.
