Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is pushing to leave the club and join AC Milan which boosts the Rossoneri’s hopes of signing him, according to one journalist.
Daily Mirror reporter Darren Lewis spoke to TalkSport to discuss the situation regarding the players who could be leaving Chelsea before the start of the new season, and among these names was Ziyech.
“Ziyech wants to go to Milan, Alonso and Azpilicueta want to go to Barcelona, Werner and Pulisic want to go and play regularly. At the moment, Chelsea are a bit of a mess,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).
Calciomercato.com reported on Saturday that there have been clear efforts from the Rossoneri to keep the negotiations for Ziyech alive as they contacted Chelsea on Friday to get an update on the situation of the Moroccan.
Milan would definitely like to take him on a season long loan and then have the option to make the deal permanent for a fee of around €20m but at the moment Chelsea want that to be an obligation to buy so they are guaranteed to make some money in a year.
Don’t know why Milan are so obsessed with this guy. He won’t make such a difference…
I’d rather have Berardi tbh
He would have a bigger immediate impact than CDK. Go look at his stats at Ajax before he went to Chelsea. Dude would elevate the RW position a ton.
@Flossonero
Erevidisie has nothing to do with Serie A….Completely different League and totally different level
Agreed, Eredivisie is not at the same level as Serie A. Ziyech got a 6 mill salary at Chelsea when he was 2 years younger, had come from a CL semi-final with Ajax that caused all the Ajax players to be sold for ridiculous amounts.
This tells you that his salary is inflated
In two years at Chelsea he’s played a total of less than 2500 minutes in PL and has 6 goals and 6 assists. That’s less minutes than what Tonali played last year.
The truth is that his salary is over-inflated. We saw this even with Dybala. Clubs are wary of giving huge amounts of money to players that haven’t proven themselves. To a player of his age, this is even more of a thread since you’ll get stuck with the player
Even if we got him on a straight loan for 1 year on his 6 mill salary, I’m not sure whether it should be a yes. I’d be very happy though if we do end up getting him and I’m proven wrong
@Thomas
A good player is still a good player no matter what league he’s playing on.
– You do know who’s Van Basten right? He’s from Ajax and played for the club for 6-7 years until Milan bought him and wreak havoc in Serie-A.
– Ibra used to played at Ajax but he’s a dangerous striker who won many leagues including with Milan.
@ForzaMilan
What are you saying man? Whoever has played for Ajax is capable of playing for Milan? You chose 2 superstars I can choose a dozen more that failed after Ajax.
Also you may be a youngster and don’t remember well.Van Basten left Ajax for AC Milan, whereas Ziyech is practically leaving Chelsea as a failed signing. Zlatan of course after Ajax went to Juve and of course he succeeded,went to Inter and succeeded etc.
He is a big uppgrade to Messias and Salamakers at the right wing
Chelsea have just signed too many wingers on huge wages, that’s the mess they’re in… Unfortunately (and a sad comment on world football), they can afford to stockpile players with no real compromise other than a few of them wanting more playing time.
And the Eredivisie is much better than the Belgian First Division, so what’s your point? Do you think playing well in Belgium means anything? Not saying, in the long run, he will be better, nobody knows that, however, Ziyech is a much safer, more proven option.
Well since you’re comparing, the major difference between CDK and Ziyech is that we’ve seen Ziyech on a higher level….And what we’ve seen wasn’t promising.
Also I wouldn’t say there aren’t far too many differences between the Dutch league and the Belgium one…To that I would add that for the past decade or so, Belgium is a top player production machine……
There shouldn’t be any comparision after all. CDK is more of a player behind the attack in a central role rather than a RW.
If we’re looking only at next year, absolutely Ziyech would be a safer option. However, unless Ziyech pulls a Perisic or Di Natale growth, his contribution is very likely to go always down from this point, while CDK value to the team is very likely to go up.
If you look at the contribution that Ziyech or CDK can give in the next 4 years, I’m not so sure that Ziyech would be the winner both on the field or in terms of how much would cost if we give him a 6 mill salary (9 mill total salary * 4 + 15 mill sale = 51 million)
CDK at 2.5 mill (3.75 mill * 4 + 33 mill sale = 48 million ). That’s not even counting the fact that we might be able to sell CDK more easily than Ziyech after 3 years
Leao didn’t pull his weight in many games in his first two years and many people would have sold him (instead of Hauge). Now imagine if instead of Leao we had gotten someone like Alexis Sanchez
Every time AC Milan rumoured buy RW , commentator here will always say berardi this berardi that bla bla bla. Wake up, this is not football manager ,budget only 50m euro and AC Milan cannot pay cash to sassoulo 35m euro. Paolo maldini and massara not stupid to pay sassoulo 35m euro for 28 years player that dont have resale value in future. Read di marzio ,anto vitiello,fabrizio romano for reliable source ( they never say AC Milan interesting buy berardi)
