Juventus director Paratici addresses reports Bernardeschi could join AC Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has ruled out any chance of Federico Bernardeschi leaving this month amid reports he could move to AC Milan.

Speculation has emerged over the past 48 hours suggesting that a possible swap deal could take place involving the Italy international and Milan’s Lucas Paqueta.

Paqueta faces an uncertain future himself as Luca Marchetti of Sky confirmed 22-year-old had tests carried out for a mild anxiety attack on Sunday after the win against Udinese, and asked not to be called up for Friday’s win over Brescia.

Interestingly, he added that a Paquetá-Bernardeschi swap deal with Juventus has been denied by both clubs due to a difference in the valuations of the players and the Juve playmaker’s €4m salary.

However, Di Marzio then stated on Friday night that the Paquetà-Bernardeschi exchange is actually more than just paper talk, describing it as “a possible option”.

However, when speaking to Sky before their game against Napoli, Juve director Fabio Paratici essentially took Bernardeschi off the market.

“We are not negotiating with Barcelona or Milan. The choices I can say is that we will go on with him,” he said (via MilanNews.it)
