Another report has emerged suggesting that Ricky Massara is a target for Juventus as they look to appoint a new sporting director.
Tuttosport (via MilanLive) report that the overhaul currently taking place at Juve could also impact current sporting director Federico Cherubini who is likely to leave the club, with the new leadership wanting a more prominent and more experienced figure in that role.
The identikit has led them to Massara, who has been working for the Rossoneri alongside Paolo Maldini for a few years now. Juventus greatly appreciates the skills of Walter Sabatini’s former pupil and could try to snatch him from Milan.
Max Allegri is a supporter of the idea given the duo played together at Pescara, while Massara could be tempted by the idea of having a more key role compared to the one he currently has alongside Maldini.
However, Massara signed a contract renewal with Milan last June and is very important to how Milan operate, plus his relationship with Maldini goes beyond the field and the work they do, so Juve may have to look at other solutions.
Cristiano Giuntoli of Napoli is one of the other names on their list, as is Luis Campos who seems to be attached to PSG, and the former Torino director Gianluca Petrachi.
