Kalulu happy after move amid buy-out talk: “I felt good at Juve right from the start”

Pierre Kalulu has started life at Juventus well leading to rumours they want to buy him permanently from AC Milan, but the defender insisted he is just thinking about the present.

There was some surprise when Milan decided to let Kalulu go to Juventus but a combination of injuries, Fonseca’s tactical ideas and a lack of clarity over his role were the factors that motivated the decision to part ways.

According to Tuttosport earlier this week, Kalulu has made a good impression with the Bianconeri already having been used both as a full-back and as a central defender, to the extent that their sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is already preparing to trigger the option to buy, which is set at €14m.

The Frenchman was interviewed by Sky and there was rather predictably a question about his start to life at Juve and whether it is a message to Milan, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“I felt good at Juve right from the start, in these last games I felt confident. There are strong players here and everyone wants to have their space on the pitch, we are a strong group and we have many games ahead of us this season,” he sad.

“Is it a response to those who didn’t believe in me? No, no, I’m a guy who works hard and who thinks about his work without listening to what others say.”

  1. Why always this question about proving something for their former team? Its so silly and pity.. football is not a stay at one club sport anymore and just because Milan sold Kalulu doesnt mean they think he is crap and that he has something to prove.

  2. Milan gave him the chance of a lifetime, he knows that. From Lyon B team straight to Milan. We belived in him first. You can tell that he doesnt want to say anything typical and silly like ‘i always supported juve’ or some silly s*** like that like most others would do

  3. We will deeply regret having shipped him to Juve, a huge rival. Why in the hell are we helping a rival by giving them a player who is actually quite good (and likely better than Emerson Leão at right back)?

Oh, because Kalulu supposed was injury prone? He is young, he is likely not injury prone, was just unlucky to collect two serious injuries in a row; it happens. He seems healthy and in-form now, and is already doing very well at Juve.

Bad, bad, bad move. I was against it from the beginning.

Also, we should have refrained from renewing Jovic, and kept Colombo.

Two stupid moves by our management.
