AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu believes that his side deserved a draw against Juventus, but also admitted he feels he should have scored the winner at the end.
Milan’s 100% start to the Serie A season was ended by Max Allegri’s side but they did earn a valuable point as Ante Rebic’s late equaliser cancelled out Alvaro Morata’s fourth-minute opener.
Kalulu spoke to Milan TV after the game and praised the resolve he and his team-mates showed to battle back for a draw, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“It was a very long week with two great games but today, after having started badly, we came back well. This draw is deserved in the end because it came against an opponent and away.” he said.
On his performance and the chance to win it at the end: “The shot didn’t go well because it didn’t go in. When you get a chance like this, you need to put your foot through it. I tried to shoot but the goalkeeper made a great save.”
On the strength of the team: “We work to be strong in all matches. If we want to have a great season we have to face all the challenges to the maximum. From tomorrow we have to work and think about the next challenges.”
