Sky: Kalulu expected to partner Tomori for Empoli-Milan with Kjaer benched

By Euan Burns -

French defender Pierre Kalulu is expected to partner Fikayo Tomori at the back for AC Milan in their match against Empoli on Saturday night.

The Rossoneri have got a number of injuries to contend with but they have all of their central defenders available. As Sky Sport Italia reports (via Milan News), Stefano Pioli has got to decide whether he will use Kalulu or Simon Kjaer in this game with whoever is left out likely starting the game against Chelsea in midweek.

The suggestion is that Kalulu will get the nod as normal for this match and then it would not be a surprise if Kjaer comes into the starting eleven for the Champions League game at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Two players will be making their first Rossoneri start of the season and they are Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal in place of the injured Mike Maignan and Fode Ballo-Toure will take the place of Theo Hernandez who is also injured.
