AC Milan are destined to say goodbye to Franck Kessie at the end of the season and his direct replacement should arrive in a double deal, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, Kessie has decided to try a new adventure after what will be half a decade with Milan, and teams like Inter and Barcelona are in the running to sign him. The Rossoneri management know now that they have to fill a gap in the midfield, and they know the man they want to do so.
The number one target to take the Ivorian’s spot is Renato Sanches. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara tried everything to try to bring forward his arrival in January, but Kessié refused to join Tottenham and Samu Castillejo did not leave, so they were unable to do so.
Milan will try to close a double transaction with Lille that could also bring Sven Botman to Italy in a deal potentially worth €50-60m for the pair. It would be an important investment that confirms Maldini and Massara’s belief in the qualities of both players, who will become part of the core for the future.
