Kessie reveals Milan are the team he ‘cheered for as a child’ and outlines his Rossoneri dream

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has revealed that his dream is to play in the Champions League with the Rossoneri, his boyhood club.

The Rossoneri face six crucial games to establish whether they will indeed return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence, but having led the league for most of the season they are now in a dangerous position just three points head of fifth place.

One man who will be a driving force if Milan are to get over the line is Kessie, who arrived from Atalanta in 2017 and after an inconsistent first couple of seasons at the club he has now become on of the star men, anchoring the double pivot alongside Ismael Bennacer.

Kessie gave a long interview to Sport Week, a weekly magazine from La Gazzetta dello Sport that will be released tomorrow, and the paper have given a preview of some statements from the Rossoneri midfielder.

“I dream of playing the Champions League with Milan, the team I cheered for as a child. I played on the Playstation, I was crazy for Sheva. When I was little they won everything. Now to be big again, we have to have the mentality of a grown-up,” he said (via MilanNews).
