Kessie reveals that he ‘feels like a leader’ at Milan as he has ‘been here for a long time’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has insisted that he ‘feels like a leader’ on the pitch, as he approaches four years at the club.

Kessie has been a very important player for Milan in recent years, and especially the most recent one, playing almost every game from start to finish. Furthermore, the stats are on his side.

As recently highlighted by MilanNews, one of his many traits is his penalty taking. The Ivorian always very cool as we saw against Bologna at the weekend, a game in which he scored his seventh goal of the season, already equalling his best tally in the league (2018-19 season).

Having arrived back in 2017 he is actually now one of the longest-serving members of the current squad, and Kessie spoke to SportMediaset about his experiences with the Rossoneri, with his comments transcribed by MilanLive.

“I’ve been at Milan for four years. I’ve been here for a long time, one of those who have been with the Rossoneri for the longest time. I feel like a leader on the field,” he said.
