Schalke 04 have set a high asking price for Ozan Kabak amid reported interest from AC Milan and Liverpool, a report claims.
A number of reports have claimed that Liverpool and Milan are both interested in the 20-year-old, with the Premier League side looking for a defender given Virgil van Dijk will be out for the best part of a year after sustaining ligament damage.
Meanwhile, reports in Spain have gone one further by claiming Liverpool and Schalke are in ‘well advanced’ talks and the deal could be closed at a figure close to €22m, while Calciomercato.com believe Inter and Manchester United are also in the running to land him.
According to the latest from German newspaper Kicker – as cited by MilanLive – Schalke know that there is intense competition to sign the Turkey international and they wish to use that to their advantage.
As a result, the Gelsenkirchen-based club are asking for €35million for Kabak, when Milan appeared to baulk at a €20m asking price towards the end of the summer window.
