CorSera: Kjaer desperate to return as soon as possible as recovery continues

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will be able to count on Simon Kjaer again going into next season but his recovery will not be rushed, according to a report.

Kjaer has been a key player for Milan ever since his arrival in January 2020 but he suffered a serious injury in December that required surgery on his ligaments and it means he will miss the rest of the season.

The Dane has become a leader for the Rossoneri and many have even suggested that he should wear the captain’s armband, but first he must work on getting back on the field and rediscovering his best form.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports that Kjaer is recovering well and is fighting to return to the field as soon as possible, but his return to playing will only happen in August because there is no intention from the club or the player to rush it and create further damage.
