MN: Krunic is a precious resource for Milan – brace for Bosnia brings confidence

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has used Rade Krunic in just about every position imaginable since his arrival, and he remains a precious resources.

MilanNews writes how Krunic stood out during the international break with his brace against Iceland in Bosnia’s 3-0 victory, showing once again that he can be decisive with the timing of his runs into the box and can be a weapon in the attacking phase.

With Milan, Krunic might not be an immovable starter but as mentioned he has been called into question by Pioli in a number of different situations, roles and positions on the field. Even when there was Franck Kessie in the squad in addition to Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer, he still got playing time both in the double pivot and on the forward line.

The former Empoli man perhaps doesn’t have the technical gift that other players have but his work rate, versatility and knack for keeping things simple are what Pioli likes from the cogs in his machine.

He is a serious professional, not a household name but a player who stays where you put him and never complains, always putting in 100% for the team. In the season finale, more examples like Rade will be needed.
