La Nazione journalist: “Milan’s interest in Chiesa scares me, something has changed”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan can get close to the amount demanded by Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso and launch a serious bid for Federico Chiesa, it is claimed.

After things seemed to go quiet on the Chiesa front, speculation has burst into life over the past 24 hours suggesting Milan have not yet given up on the idea of signing him.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) even reported earlier on Tuesday that Milan have put forward an offer to La Viola for Chiesa, consisting of Lucas Paqueta (valued at €20-25m) plus €20million cash and another €10million bonuses.

Speaking to Radio Bruno Toscana, La Nazione journalist Riccardo Galli admitted that he is ‘scared’ by the interest of the Rossoneri.

“Milan’s interest in Chiesa scares me, something has changed,” he said (via ViolaNews).

“I don’t believe Paquetà being key, the real key is that of money. The Rossoneri club can get close to Commisso’s claims, while Inter are doing another a different type of transfer market, similar to that of Juventus.”

Tuesday’s edition of Florence-based newspaper La Nazione actually reported that Milan are in the race for Chiesa, with head coach Stefano Pioli in particular the man pushing for the Rossoneri to try and land the Italy international.
