La Repubblica: Milan linked with January move for Torino star

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have been linked with a surprise move for Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci in the January transfer window, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Repubblica (via Calciomercato.com), the Rossoneri could try and add the Italian midfielder to the squad for depth during the January transfer window.

This link could be in response to the expected departure of Rade Krunic in January, although other reports have suggested that Milan are content with the midfield options that they possess even if Krunic were to leave the club.

It is a move that seems unlikely at this stage, although another injury or two in the midfield could certainly change that if Ricci is on the market.

He has played 11 times in Serie A this season for the Granata and is set to return this weekend from an injury. He tends to play in a deep role which is similar to Krunic.

  1. LOL. Italian? Yeah right. I’d say it’s more probable that Li has found massive funds somewhere and is paying Cardinale 2B€ for the club. Even signing Mbappe is more likely than Milan actually buying Italian.

  2. Yeah sure, he probably costs at least 35 millions. They’ll give us some 18 year old German or French player for 10 millions and expect him to perform miracles while Pioli will leave him on the bench.

  3. I like Ricci but if Bennacer stays with Milan, i dont see where Ricci will start unless he’s ok with being rotated. As both are suited for the regista role, the only way Ricci can come to milan is by selling Bennacer
