Some more details have emerged regarding the contract that Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to sign to prolong his stay at AC Milan.
Donnarumma’s current deal expires in June 2021, but multiple outlets have claimed that the 21-year-old has already communicated his intention to stay to those in charge and the club, and while the management are subsequently in no hurry they still hope to close the issue as soon as possible.
According to La Stampa (via MilanLive), Milan expect to be able to find an agreement with Mino Raiola soon and contacts with the agent are frequent, but an agreement has not yet been reached.
A meeting point must be found with regards to salary and bonuses, without forgetting that Raiola would like to insert a release clause related to the Champions League.
The duration of Donnarumma’s new contract has already been defined though, the paper claims, and the deadline is expected to be June 2024. It would therefore be a three-year extension of the current agreement.
