The official announcement of the signing of Marko Lazetic is imminent as the Serbian striker has done his medical tests and has signed his contract ahead of a dream move to Milan.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports how Lazetic landed at Linate airport at lunchtime yesterday, then did the standard medical examinations at the La Madonnina clinic, the sporting fitness tests at the Ambrosiana Center and finally signed his contract at Casa Milan.
The player subsequently returned to Serbia and is expected in Milanello in the coming days for the first training session with his new team-mates, and the terms of the final agreement between Milan and Red Star for are as follows: a €3m fee spread over three years, plus €500k bonuses.
The 18-year-old signed a five-year contract yesterday and will take the place of Pietro Pellegri in the Milan senior squad. He will wear the number 22 shirt that was worn by Milan icon Ricardo Kakà, even if his idol has always been Zlatan Ibrahimovic along with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now, Lazetic will have the opportunity to train and to play alongside the Swede and will look to learn as much as possible in the coming months, while Zlatan will pass on his secrets and advice, plus potentially the baton of the starting spot in time.
