Lazio director Tare claims that Milan, Juventus and Inter have ‘failed’ in their projects

Lazio director Igli Tare has claimed that AC Milan along with their rivals Juventus and Inter have ‘failed’ from a project point of view.

Tare was actually linked with taking the sporting director job at Milan three years ago, but afterwards he revealed why he rejected the chance to make the move. The Rossoneri were left searching for a candidate to fill that position over the summer following the departure of Leonardo, who left the club in order to return to Paris Saint-Germain.

In the end former Roma director Ricky Massara was given the role in what was an offseason of big overhaul for Milan, as Zvonomir Boban and Paolo Maldini were also given roles on the board.

Now, Tare has spoken during a lecture he game at the Luiss University in Rome and he gave a bit of background on the work that he has done in his time with Lazio, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“There are four family ownerships left: Udinese, Atalanta, Lazio and Napoli. I am more for this management, multinationals have only commercial interest and the beauty of football is lost: passion, love,” he said.

“Those funds work with algorithms and no longer want to know about the history of the team and the city. I am an old school fan. What is missing? Corporate executives, due to the fact that the duration of the contracts varies too much. Take me, I am one of the longest serving directors in Serie A, this is my fifteenth year at Lazio.

“I am fortunate to work with a club with virtuous management. Today there are clubs, including top-tier clubs, such as Juve, Roma, Milan, Inter, which technically have failed but are kept alive by the fact that the system needs them. It is very important to have long-term management in the company with important projects to see the good of the club.”

  1. If he was talking about Milan before Elliot, he is not wrong. Milan was a failure then, can’t compete on the pitch, bad management, high wages on bad players, bad financial, one of FFP victim. But if he was talking about our current situation then he just clowned himself.
