Mediaset: Lazio want Milan man on a free but a concession must be made

By Oliver Fisher -

Lazio are interested in securing Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer but the defender must make a concession, a report claims.

Despite the fact that he has been a key player in all six of the seasons he has been with the Rossoneri, Romagnoli’s future at Milan has seemingly never been under threat more than it is at the moment. He has lost a spot in the starting XI with Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori preferred, and his contract expires at the end of the season.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) reports how for now there is no talk over a renewal with the Milan management and thus a number of clubs interested in signing the centre-back have begun to circle, sniffing the chance to land him on a free transfer.

Among these is his boyhood club Lazio, but there is an obstacle to resolve because the Milan captain’s salary requests are too high at the moment. To reach an agreement, Romagnoli will have to lower his demands.
