Le10Sport: Milan want Thauvin, the player’s response is cryptic – ‘Tomorrow you never know’

By Oliver Fisher -

Florian Thauvin has admitted that he could leave Olympique Marseille ‘tomorrow’ if the club tell him he has been sold.

MilanNews reported on Tuesday that the agent of Thauvin has offered the right-winger to Milan. Marseille are asking for €15m to part ways with their star man, whose contract will expire next summer.

Thauvin has scored 80 goals and added 54 assists in 242 appearances for Marseille in all competitions and so it seems surprising that they are seemingly not pushing to try secure a renewal, considering his current contract expires in June 2021.

Tuttosport reported this week though that the player intends not to renew his contract and instead wants to change club, with directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara having held talks with his entourage to scope out a move.

As reported by Le10Sport, Milan are interested in Thauvin, and he was asked about the possibility of a move before the window shuts.

“First I have to think about the present and improve my condition,” he said (via MilanNews).

“If I receive an offer? You never know what can happen, today I’m here, tomorrow you never know. The club might tell me, ‘Pack your bags’. I’ve already experienced that. I’ll always listen to everything.”
